The Norwegian term Kos describes a feeling of instant happiness experienced when people feel safe, warm, and together. This feeling was the guiding design ethos for this one-of-a-kind multigenerational home, thoughtfully crafted to foster comfort, connection, and contentment. Nestled seamlessly into the hillside, this multi-level residence is a masterpiece of integration with the landscape. A cleverly designed main stair connects the garage, main entry, mudroom, accessory dwelling, and main living space. Recessed into the wood-clad feature wall is a large, steel Helm of Awe, the Viking symbol for protection, subtly affirming the home's atmosphere of safety and warmth.
We are thrilled to present one of our latest projects - Mad Modern. This 3,800 sq. ft. contemporary ski-house, nestled in the picturesque Mad River Valley, seamlessly integrates the sloped terrain to offer diverse living spaces and a captivating deck overlooking stunning views. Modern aesthetics are woven into the fabric of the home, showcased by expansive walls of windows and second story balcony to expand upon the living spaces and a meticulously crafted custom kitchen . Every detail of Mad Modern has been thoughtfully considered, resulting in a residence that exudes unparalleled attention to detail and modern elegance while connecting itself to the natural landscape.
