This Vermont Elementary School Treehouse was designed with student input every step of the way and was a wonderful opportunity to inspire and educate young students about the architectural design process. Together, we charretted various design concepts, creating three possible treehouse themes including floor plans and Google Sketch Up massing models from which they would choose the final design. Ultimately the students developed a simplified concept that represented the essence of the selected concept which was simplified in order for the students to execute the construction. They then constructed the treehouse themselves under the leadership of their Art teacher and a local contractor who volunteered his time to the cause.
